BULGARIA

God is not unjust. He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them.

-Hebrews 6:10

Crossroads goes to Petrich Bulgaria every other year, where we support Pastors Al and Diane Mellinger.

Their vision is church planting and discipleship. They have planted 7 churches in Bulgaria. They are looking to plant churches in Macedonia and Serbia as well. They train Pastors so they can lead their own churches.

A Crossroads team can go and help with the training of Pastors. There is construction work that can be done. We can also do a Vocational Bible Study (VBS) with the kids. There are many sporting activities we can do with the kids as well. Crossroads also gives to the Saint John’s House. This house is for girls that are trafficked. Trafficking is very prevalent in Bulgaria.

Crossroads goes to Petrich to show God’s love and evangelize to people in need.

Jordan

Therefore they that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the word.

-Acts 8:4

Crossroads goes to Marka Jordan, which is just outside of Amman once a year.

We support Pastor Haytham and the Marka Church. Their mission statement is to "exist to glorify God by empowering the local church to transform Arab society." Their vision is to ignite a disciple-making movement among Arab speaking people, that leads to multiplying vibrant house churches.

Crossroads mission teams go to Jordan to show love and compassion to a people that have nothing. Many of these people left their countries because they had no choice. We also work on service projects, both at the Marka Church and in the community. We go as Jesus commands us, utilizing the gifts He has given to us.

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

-1st Peter 4:10

Crossroads goes to Marchand Dessalines Haiti at least 2 times a year. We support 2 organizations in Haiti.

• Haiti Health Advocates (HHA) is a nonprofit organization that supports the Claire Heureuse Hospital in Dessalines. The hospital averages 70 outpatient clinic visits a day, has 45 beds available for inpatient hospitalization, delivers 1300 babies a year, and provides surgical, pediatric, obstetrical, opthalmological, dental, and general medical services. A Haitian staff of 87 employees run and operate full laboratory services, an x-ray facility, ultrasound services, and manage an impatient and outpatient pharmacy.

Their mission statement is to "evangelize, teach, and heal." The funding that comes from Crossroads helps the hospital operate daily, funds employee wages, and fixes equipment.

• The Ebenezer Glenn Orphanage (EGO) is a nonprofit that supports orphans with housing in a 12 acre piece of property.

Don and Doris Peavey answered God’s call in 1970 when they moved to Dessalines from Michigan. They have raised more than 100 children over 40 years. They have retired and handed the Orphanage over to Ken and Marla Drowley. They are doing a great job teaching the kids skills so they can get jobs when they move out. Teams from Crossroads go to Dessalines to work, play with the kids, evangelize, and show God’s love. It is important that we find the right people to serve, and use their gifts at either the hospital or the orphanage.

People that go on these trips are so blessed and many of them cannot wait to go back.
