for candy, festive trunks, hayrides, inflatables, food, and fun! The biggest Trunk or Treat in the area is free and everyone is invited. There are many ways to serve this year. Learn more below and scroll down to the bottom of the page to sign up for this #ForYou Impact opportunity!
Trunk Hosts:
Here is what you need to know about serving as a Trunk Host:
- YOUR TRUNK: You can go all-out by decorating your trunk in a specific theme, or simply bring your trunk "as is" and hand out candy with a smile! Be creative, and have fun! Hosting a trunk is not meant to be a stressful process. (Please refrain from blood, gore, or death themed décor)
- CANDY: We expect about 1,500+ kids will take part in this year’s event. We ask that you provide as much candy as you're able to. If you are unable to provide candy, or if you run out of candy, we will supply you with candy donations. Please only hand out ONE piece of candy per child. Some children will visit your trunk multiple times throughout the night and that is okay.
- MANNING YOUR TRUNK: Please have a least one person must be stationed at your trunk at all times to pass out candy. PLEASE STAY UNTIL THE EVENT ENDS AT 8:00PM. Leaving early can cause a dangerous situation for children. A pizza dinner will be provided to each trunk!
- ARRIVAL: Please arrive on the day of the event (October 23rd) between 4:00-5:00PM.
New this year: If you would like to park next to another trunk or want to be near multiple trunk hosts, simply let us know in the "Questions" section on the sign-up form, or email Jen Huyghe at jhuyghe@crossroadscc.org. We have reserved 2 rows to accomodate groups!
*Kids will start trunk or treating at 6:00PM. Please DO NOT hand out candy until 6:00PM. Use the designated Trunk Host Entrance upon arrival. Signs will be posted to direct you.
- BEST TRUNK CONTEST: All trunk hosts will be provided with a QR Code which must be placed in a visible location outside your vehicle. Guests will be encouraged to scan these QR Codes to vote! The Best Trunk Winner will be announced at 7:45PM.
- BEHAVIOR: Even though this is an outdoor community-wide event, please refrain from smoking or drinking alcohol, and using harsh language. Please follow all posted signage.
- HAVE FUN: This event is for you just as much as it is for the kids. Smile, relax, and enjoy your time at this year’s Trunk or Treat. Remember, you are a representative of Crossroads and we ask that you are always hospitable to guests.
