A Note From Pastor Mark...

Man, what a crazy year it has been! We are so thankful to all of you parents out there for your flexibility, and your commitment to keeping your student involved here at Velocity. We have stayed committed, even in the midst of the pandemic, to do everything we can to disciple your students into passionate followers of Jesus Christ. With regards to the latest recommendations from the CDC, our church has made some changes to our COVID 19 protocols, which will have an impact on our Velocity protocols as well. Here's an outline of our current Velocity protocols:

Velocity Student Ministry COVID-19 Protocols

WHAT TO EXPECT
  • Masks are recommended (per the CDC guidelines), unless students/leaders have received the COVID vaccine.
  • We will not be asking students/leaders if they have received the vaccine or not, so we encourage you as parents to have this conversation with your students about their/your choice to wear a mask, and to respect the decisions of others should they decide to wear a mask.
  • Social distancing will be enforced in the Attic and in Small Group areas, including spacing all chairs at least 3 feet apart.
  • Masks are not required when service is outdoors, but social distancing will still be enforced.

BEFORE COMING, ASK YOURSELF…
• Am I sick?
• Am I showing any flu-like symptoms?
• Have I had a fever of 100.4 or higher in the past 14 days?
• Have I had prolonged exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19?
• Is there any medical reason why you shouldn’t be around others?
• If you answered YES to ANY of these questions, we strongly encourage you to stay home

PRECAUTIONS WE’RE TAKING:
• Hand sanitizer will be readily available and STRONGLY encouraged
• Seats in the Attic will be spaced 3 ft. apart to insure social distancing
